Crass yet funny book about the misadventures of a 14-year-old boy who writes nothing like a 14-year-old boy.
This is a very comforting read for me both because I've read it many times over and because the plot isn't very urgent. Youth in Revolt meanders and delights in its format of sarcastic, inappropriate journal entries supposedly written by a teenager. The word choice and descriptions of characters, even if they lack a certain goodheartedness, are often hilarious, and I would definitely recommend this book to any teenager or adult.
